For those of you who may not be aware of the practice, NCAA rules limit the number of players on football scholarship to a total of 85 and no more than 25 player may be signed in one year. However, because of counting technicalities schools may, in fact, sign more than 25 players if the roster is trimmed to 85 at count time.

Florida recruit Lynden Trail boldly predicts that UF will win two to three national championships during the reign of his class. Young Mister Trail is a self-confessed joker, however. Only a few weeks ago his picture appear in this blog wearing a mask and looking somewhat less than wholesome. When asked about the picture that he had posted to his Facebook page he allowed that it was a joke. I'll bet the hand gesture in the photo means two-or-three-national-championships. Florida certainly has a class to be proud of.
2011 prospect DeAnthony Thomas has the coolest nickname yet. He play both ways in this video but as a Crenshaw High (LA, CA) we are unlikely to see him in the SEC .
Fans all over the South like to woof about the quality of high school football in their state. Conventional wisdom is that Florida is the place with the best recruits in the Nation. Mr. SEC gives evidence to dispel that notion - Georgia produced the most SEC recruits this year and it was not even close:
