Isaiah Crowell
Carver-Columbus High School
6'0 210
40 yard: 4.43
Season stats:
Strengths:
* He runs with great leverage.
* Hands.
* Love his stature; good height at 6 feet plus his lower half is built like a rock.
* Acceleration is good.
* Breakaway speed.
* Cutting ability.
* Vision and ability to get through a hole so quickly.
* Ability to lower the shoulder and take contact.
* Runs feet well after contact.
* He is simply the ultimate homerun threat.
Weaknesses:
* I would like to see him consistently put the ball in the arm closest to the sideline; it takes away his ability to stiff arm when he doesn't.
* Blocking.
* Durability, he's been injured a few times this season; can he take a pounding as an every down SEC back?
Isaiah Crowell is THE best player in the state of Georgia. I've seen film of him as a sophomore all the way up to this season against Buford and he has always been a homerun threat. He has the speed and athleticism to simply run past everyone. But he is also capable of shredding tacklers and getting positive yards. His most impressive attribute is definitely his cutting ability -- it is simply amazing to watch him run through a hole and cut, breaking a safety's ankle in the process. He has good acceleration that allows him to shoot through holes and once he gets past the line he has a great chance at breaking it for a huge gain. He has fantastic hands out of the backfield and there is no doubt he can be used in the slot in different formations. I'm just curious if he can take a beating in the SEC, if he can, he will be an All-SEC performer in a very short time. One of the most impressive athletes to come out of the state in a long time and there is no doubt his talents will be used very well at Georgia.
Best case scenerio: More physical, bigger CJ Spiller.
