I think UGA made the right decision. It seems that it was Nance's dad was trying to dictating where Rogers would go to school as a barganing chip for his son. That is really unfortunate since - from what I've heard - Nance could easily afford for his son to walk-on anywhere. If that is true the scholarship is just an ego enhancer.

Georgia obviously did see a significant difference between Hutson Mason and Nash Nance. I've seen neither one of them play, but one guy is a Parade All-American who set Georgia state records for passing yardage, the other threw for about 1000 yards(in a low classification) outside of the passes he threw to Rogers, who was a man among boys in that classification.

When Georgia decided to offer a quarterback, they obviously considered everyone on their own merit and chose to offer Mason. That's the way it should be. Would UGA have offered Nance instead if they'd known Rogers would ultimately decommit? I don't think so, but we'll never know. Maybe UGA would have been willing to waste a scholarship on a qb since Murray is likely to be the qb for the next 3-4 years anyway. When a guy has been committed to you for 6 months like Rogers had, the thought probably didn't even cross their minds until it was too late and, as good as he might end up being, Da'Rick Rogers can't dictate which qb's we offer at UGA.
